The Advanced Mobility Institute (AMI) at Florida Polytechnic University, through the 2020-2021 Seed Award Program, approved a research proposal by Dr. Rei Sanchez-Arias (PI) and Dr. Grisselle Centeno (co-PI) in the area of data mining and knowledge representation towards improving testing and verification of connected and autonomous vehicles.

The goal of the research project is to learn what characterizes hidden patterns from structured and unstructured data sources associated with emergency vehicles, capturing relevant attributes defining edge cases that can be used in the simulation and testing of AVs technology.

Data Science and Engineering Management students participate in this project.
